Africa’s elite club competition, the Confederation of African Football’s Champions League returns this weekend with first leg of round-8 fixtures to be played across the continent.
There shall be eight fixtures in all, six slated for Saturday and the remaining two to be played on Sunday.
Thus, eight teams that are part of the elite of African football will compete address through continent.L‘Égypte, DR Congo and Algeria each have two representatives at this level of competition.
The top fixture for the round would be on Sunday when Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia take on Nigeria’s Enyimba. The last time the two clubs met was in African Super Cup in 2004 with a victory for the Nigerians.
Egyptian giants Al Ahly visit Tanzania’s Young Africans on Saturday and also there is the north African clash between Zamalek (Egypt) and Mouloudia Bejaia (Algeria) In other fixtures Entente Setif, winner two years ago go to Khartoum to face El Merreikh. Stade Malien will welcome ZESCO United of Zambia, Ivorian side ASEC Mimosas will also visit Al Ahly Tripoli in Libya.

The return legs of this week’s fixtures will be played on 19 and 20 April 2016, after which the teams will be pooled into two groups, a draw will be held in Cairo in May with the top two clubs from each group will qualify for the semi-finals.
